Korean Bounce Creams

Consumers are discovering Korean beauty brands simply because of the innovation and beauty technology behind the products.

The Bounce

Bounce Creams.  Yep. Because the consistency is similar to a  part jelly/gel/cream combination which simply ‘bounces’ back to its formulation even when you dip in and out of the jar.  Bounce creams have a light consistency.

Four of our picks are:

Laniege Water bank Cream
Formulated to strengthen skin and retain moisture for 24 hours. Infused with skin-perfecting Hydro Ionized Mineral Water.

Enprani Dreams Come True Melted Cheese Cream
This cream is not made from nor smells like cream cheese – it has the consistency of cream cheese and uses whey in its formulation. Get set for smooth, plump and bouncy skin.

Belif Aqua Bomb Cream
This soft white cream is a 26-hour moisturiser cream which keeps the skin soft and smooth with Comfrey Leaf extract.

Garnier Miracle Sleeping Cream

Garnier have used Korean formulation technology and launched their own version of the bounce cream.  Their Miracle Sleeping Cream smooths and moisturises the skin during the night and is designed to lessen the signs of fatique and tiredness.

Korean Rubber Masks

I know, we’ve gone from Korean bounce creams and now to Korean rubber masks. We just could not resist.

Do you remember watching those old movies where women having beauty treatments were able to peel off their beauty masks all at once with no breaks?  If so, a Korean rubber mask may be one you want to try.   There is a range of quality and price points and we are just focusing on two (extreme ends of the scale if you will).

Beautyclicklist.com Korean Rubber Masks

Shangreen Gold Premium Modeling Mask
Available as a set of five from specialist Korean Beauty retailer peach and lily for around $98 (£60).  These are ‘spa luxury’ standard and have been a standard in quality spas for years.

Lindsey Modeling Rubber Masks
The other are the Lindsey Modeling rubber masks available in five choices:

Collagen, Pearl, Lavender, Cool and Vitamin.  Each mask usually costs $6 (£4) or you can buy in sets

Available from glow recipe.   You mix these masks with water to get the right consistency, leave for a bit and then apply with the supplied spatula.

It would be interesting to see whether European or American Beauty brands bring out their own versions.  Korean Rubber masks have been around for a while now.

Cushion Art

Peripera are a well known Korean brand who use cushion based applicators in their blush and lip products. Cushion based applicators deliver a more dewy, natural looking finish as opposed to application with a traditional flat based pad or applicator.

We look at two items in the range: Cushion Lips and Ah Much Real My Cushion Blusher.

Peripera Cushion Lips Glosses and Cushion Blushers

Peripera Cushion Lips Glosses and Cushion Blushers

Cushion Lips
These are a range of lip glosses which come in five highly pigmented, long lasting and vibrant colours and deliver a semi-matte finish designed for long wear. Upon application the cushion lip gloss has a cream like to gel texture which upon application turns into a soft ‘peaches and cream’ consistency with no stickiness or heaviness.

The lip glosses contain shea butter and other skin moisturing nutrients to help keep lips moisturised. It goes on glossy and slowly turns matte.

Cushion Lips comes in 8 shades:

Product Shades               Our Translation
Secret Trip                             Rust Pink
Bubble Trip                           Fuchsia
Play More                              Pink
Mini Dress                            Orange
Two Two Day                       Light Orange
Bye Nineteen                       Light pink
Liar                                        Dark orange
Danger                                  Red

Ah Much Real My Cushion Blusher
The cushion blushers come with a large sponge cushion which can also be detached for cleaning.

The Cushion Blushers come in five colours: Sweet Pink, Happy Coral, Cheerful Orange, Shy Pink and Lively Lavender but they do come out sheer and will need more than one application to build to the colour look you want.

The formulation is moisturising containing rape flower oil, vitamin E and daisy water. The blushers are formulated to give a flushed cheek look and it depends on how much you apply.

The colours are not as highly pigmented as the cushion lip glosses. The consistency comes out as a liquid soft gel-cream like texture but is still long wearing.
